“But to which of the angels said He [God] at any time, Sit on My right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?  Are they [angels] not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” (Hebrews 1:13-14)

Here in the first chapter of Hebrews we find two supernatural Ministries that are available to all Believers.  There is the Ministry of Jesus and there is the Ministry of Angels.

Although Jesus is the greater of the two Ministries, the angels of God play a vitally important role in our lives.  The Bible says they are to minister or to serve, to function publicly, on behalf of the Believer who is an heir of salvation.

“Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.” (Hebrews 2:1)

The Apostle is still talking about the Ministry of Angels here.  The chapter changed but the subject did not.  We are now being instructed to never let slip away the fact that angels are servants who have been sent to help us.

“For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward; How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which hath at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard Him.” (Hebrews 2:2-3)

The word “salvation” used here is actually “soteria.”  It means “deliverance, preservation, healing and soundness.”  This is a direct reference to the deliverance that comes through the Ministry of Angels.

Here in the Holy Scripture we are being encouraged to never carelessly overlook the Ministry of Angels.

Satan sets many traps for Believers, particularly those who use their faith to finance the salvation of the more than 3 billion souls that I continue to refer to.  How are we to escape those traps if we overlook the deliverance Ministry of God’s Holy Angels?

The Ministry of Angels & Protection

Barbara and I trusted God to give us a certain vehicle.  A Pastor friend from Arkansas personally gave that vehicle to us and delivered it to us in Oklahoma.  We immediately took it out for a drive and a vehicle coming off the highway cut in front of us, plowing into the right front fender.

Inside of our vehicle Barbara and I were rocked from side to side during the impact.

However, it was as if we were cushioned by pillows on the inside.  We were completely kept from harm.  The guilty driver fled the scene of the accident.  I pulled our vehicle over to check the damage.

I knew our nice little car was going to be pretty crushed.  I fully expected the fender, the headlight and the bumper to be destroyed.

When I looked there was no indication of damage whatsoever, not even the proverbial scratch.  The angels of God took the impact for us, inside and outside of the vehicle.

“For He shall give His angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways.” (Psalm 91:11)

“The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear Him, and delivereth them.” (Psalm 34:7)

At the time of this “accident,” we did not see angels with our physical eyes but we knew they were present because we believe the written Word of God.

However, I have seen angels on multiple occasions over more than three decades of walking with Jesus.

One angel whom I watched at an accident scene in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was easily well over ten feet tall.  Walking from the scene of the accident, he stepped right in front of our vehicle.  I hit the brakes to avoid hitting him.  He was unmoved by our presence.

I shouted, “Did you see him, Barbara?”  She was sitting there wondering why I had suddenly locked up the brakes.

She said, “No.”

I continued to watch him walk across the highway cloverleaf into an open field.

We then spent the next fifteen or twenty minutes driving that cloverleaf over and over, looking into the fields all around us, looking for the giant angel in white clothing who suddenly just disappeared.  There were no trees for him to hide in.  He was just gone.

Apparently he was associated with someone from the overturned vehicle by the side of the road who had been taken away by ambulance.

Normally angels do their work beyond the realm of physical sight.  They do this in order to not call attention to themselves.  This way Jesus gets all the Glory for the work that they do supernaturally.  The angels of God never receive Glory or worship for the things that they do.

The Apostle John fell at the feet of the angel who took him through his Revelation.  John began to worship the angel.  We are to never worship angels.  They are our fellow servants and brethren.  They are not Deity.  The angel corrected John as follows.

“See thou do it not: for I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.” (Revelation 22:9)

Angels are indeed sent into this world to serve the Believer.

King Darius threw Daniel into the lions den for worshipping God against the King’s decree.  The next morning King Darius shouted down into the lions den, “Daniel, is thy God able to deliver thee?”

Daniel responded, “My God hath sent His Angel and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me.” (Daniel 6:20-22)

The King was so impressed with the delivering power of Daniel’s God that he promoted Daniel tremendously in his kingdom.

“So this Daniel PROSPERED in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.” (Daniel 6:28)

Daniel never would have prospered in the kingdom of Darius had the Angel of the Lord not done His job.

Angels bring deliverance and cause prosperity to come in times of trouble.

Are you having trouble financially?  Are you in a financial prison of debt?  Angels are well experienced in releasing people from prisons such as they did for the Apostles together and Peter alone. (Acts 5:19; 12:7-11.)

Do you desire to be free from financial debt so that your life can be a testimony of increase and you can help finance the End Time Harvest?

The Ministry of Angels, Financial Deliverance & Words

Someone said, “The Bible does not say that angels cause financial deliverance to come.”

Oh, yes, it does.

“Bless ye the Lord, all ye His hosts [angels]; ye ministers of His, that do His pleasure.” (Psalm 103:21)

The Bible says that the angels of God do His pleasure.  You will recall at the very beginning of these lessons on Biblical prosperity how we talked about what gives God pleasure.

Let’s look at it again.

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor My righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.” (Psalm 35:27)

If the angels of God do God’s pleasure, and God’s pleasure is in the prosperity of His servant, then angels do prosperity!  God uses angels to accomplish financial deliverance in the lives of His children.  There’s only one way that can happen.  It is as follows.

“Bless the Lord, ye His angels, that excel in strength, that do His commandments, hearkening unto the voice of His Word.” (Psalm 103:20)

Pick up your Bible, please.  Put it to your ear.  Do you hear anything?

Of course you do not.

The Bible is silent until someone gives voice to it in the Earth.

The angels cannot obey the voice of God’s Word in the Earth unless a Believer gives voice to it.

When we make the quality decision to no longer speak Satan’s vile will of poverty and lack, speaking God’s precious will of increase and abundance, our words become as God’s words and the angels go to work accordingly.

“Therefore thus saith the Lord, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before Me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as My mouth...” (Jeremiah 15:19)

God Almighty Himself has decreed that when His children speak according to His written Word, their mouths become as His very own mouth.

The angels of God know this.

Angels are hard-wired to listen for and obey the Believer who gives Biblical commands respectfully.

Once the Biblical command is given, or the Word of God is expectantly spoken forth by the Believer, the angels search the avenues of God’s wisdom, even while we are sleeping, looking for ways to bring our words to pass.

Angels, like God, do not violate human free moral agency, for they are instruments of God. In other words, angels, like God, will not force themselves upon a human being against their will. When angels hear human beings speak against the promises of God for protection and provision, they will not violate human free will and protect and provide regardless. Their hands are basically tied, so to speak.

However, when God's holy angels hear human beings speaking in line with God's will by giving voice to His written promises, they move immediately to protect and provide for those believing ones.

This is one of the reasons why the Bible says life and death are in the power of the spoken word.

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." (Proverbs 18:21)

It only stands to reason that the angels of God will respond to the Believer in Christ who speaks in line with God's precious Holy written Word.  Because God hearkens unto the voice of His Word when it is spoken forth by His children on Earth, it also stands to reason that the angels of God do the same, for they are instruments designed to perform His perfect will.

“Bless the Lord, ye His angels, that excel in strength, that do His commandments, hearkening unto the voice of His Word.” (Psalm 103:20)

The Prophet Jesus' Amazing Revelation on the Power of Words

Let's look together at something fascinating Jesus said about the power of the spoken word.

"And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have the God kind of faith. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he sayeth." (Mark 11:22-23)

Here we see the Prophet Jesus, God incarnate, instructing all Believers to speak to the mountains in their lives, expecting them to be removed.  Frequently in the Bible mountains symbolize human obstacles.  Let us look at one example from the Prophet Zechariah.

"For who are you, O great mountain [of human obstacles]? Before Zerubbabel [who with Joshua had led the return of the exiles from Babylon and was undertaking the rebuilding of the Temple, before him] you shall become a plain [a mere molehill]!" (Zechariah 4:7 Amp.)

So we see clearly that when Jesus was referring to a "mountain" He, too, was figuratively referring to human obstacles and problems, not a literal mountain.

However, there is something else we must seriously consider from Jesus' words in Mark chapter 11 and verse 23.

Here Jesus emphasizes the importance of speaking forth in faith for our mountains to be removed three times more often than silently believing.

Jesus made reference to speaking faith-filled words three times in this passage, yet He referred to believing only once.

Can you see it?

Jesus is telling His disciples of all generations that they must find in the Scripture where God has agreed to help them. Then they must initiate the process of speaking forth those promises and praising God for those promises three times more often than they simply and silently believe for them.

In other words, they must consistently speak to their mountains to be removed.

It is inconceivable to this author that any Believer in Jesus Christ would think that the angels of God do not respond to the Believer who speaks forth the Word of God, as Jesus instructed.  When King David said by inspiration of the Holy Spirit that the angels of God "do His commandments, hearkening unto the voice of His Word" he was referring to the angels of God responding to the faith-filled Words of the child of God. (Psalm 103:20)

It is the Believer in Jesus Christ, not Jesus, not God the Father and not the Holy Spirit, who gives voice to God's written Word in the Earth.

Therefore, it is the Believer in Jesus Christ who gives Word commands to the angels of God in the Earth.

Let us look together at something else Jesus said about the power of words.

"O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned." (Matthew 12:34-37)

Here Jesus is rebuking the Pharisees for wrongly believing they can speak words of evil and bring forth good things in their lives.

Referring to bringing forth good things in life, Jesus said a good man or woman has the power to bring forth those good things by speaking forth the good Word of God.

On the other hand, an evil man or woman brings forth evil things by speaking crosswise and contrary to the written Word of God.

Jesus went on to say that every "idle word" spoken, referring to negative speech that goes against God's Word, would be accounted for on the Day of Judgment.

Why?

Because we are going to spend Eternity based upon how effectively we built up His Kingdom with our words and actions, or how we tore down His Kingdom with our words and actions.

Finally, Jesus went on to say that our words will either bless us or curse us, now in this life and when we stand as Believers before the BEMA Judgment Seat of Christ or as unbelievers at the Great White Throne Judgment.

It is impossible to believe, based upon these Scriptures we are studying together, that the angels of God have absolutely nothing to do with the power of the spoken Word in the life of the Believer in Jesus Christ.

The angels of God pay extremely close attention to the disciples of Christ and their words, looking for authority to cause the blessings of God to come into their lives.

This is one of the things Jesus was referring to when He boldly declared one of the most powerful statements ever spoken, "For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned."

The Apostle James & the Power of Words

The Apostle James wrote in agreement with Jesus' bold teachings on words.  Referring to the proper use of the human tongue, James wrote the following.

"Therefore bless we God, even the Father; and wherewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing.  My brethren, these things ought not so to be.  Does a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? Either a vine figs?  So can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh." (James 3:9-12)

What could be more clear than the teaching of James, Jesus half-brother, on the power of the spoken Word? James was raised by Joseph and Mary in the same home as his brother, Jesus, and learned this powerful revelation from his big brother, Jesus.

We can be sure that James also clearly understood the connection between the spoken Word of God and angelic intervention.

The Apostle Paul & the Power of Words

The Apostle Paul also wrote in agreement with Jesus' outstanding revelation on the power of words.

"We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak." (2 Corinthians 4:13)

Many, illiterate of Jesus', James' and Paul's teachings on the power of the spoken Word, disrespectfully refer to this principle as "Name It and Claim It."  Little do they realize they speak against their Creator when doing so.  Personally, I would rather be referred to as a "Name It and Claim It" rather than a "Doubt It and Do Without It."

Speaking of Creator God, in the midst of his teachings on Father Abraham, the Apostle Paul further revealed the power of the spoken Word.

"As it is written, I have made thee (Abraham) a father of many nations, before Him Whom he believed, even God, Who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were." (Romans 4:17)

Notice the Apostle Paul, speaking by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, said that God "calleth those things which be not as though they were."  Yet another clear reference to the power of the spoken Word.  In this case it is a reference to the power that is released when God speaks.

For example, in Genesis chapter one, Almighty God spoke no less than ten times and each time He spoke something new and good came into existence. (Genesis 1:3, 6, 9, 11, 14, 20, 24, 26, 28, 29, 31)

True Children of God Imitate Their Father

Someone might say, "Just because God's Words have power does not mean that His children's words have power."

However, such a statement would be in blatant contradiction to every verse of Scripture we just read from the writings of David, Jesus, James and Paul.

Not only do God's Words have power, but His children's words have power to bring forth good when they imitate the way He speaks. Even as children in the natural imitate the way their parents speak, our Father God expects His children to imitate the way He speaks.

"Be ye therefore imitators of God as dear children." (Ephesians 5:1)

All true children of God imitate their Father in both word and deed.

All children of God are servants of God and are called to lives of obedience to Him.  A servant is not a true servant who does not obey his Master.  A true servant will obey God's commands to speak in line with His written Word concerning all the affairs of this life.

When His servants obey His commands to speak forth His promises, the angels of God will indeed take those Words as commands to cause those Words to come to pass.

"For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service]." (Psalms 91:11 Amp.)

"Bless the Lord, ye His angels, that excel in strength, that do His commandments hearkening unto the voice of His Word." (Psalm 103:20)

"Are they (angels) not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" (Hebrews 1:14)

The angels of God are sent forth from Heaven to minister for (serve) those of us who have inherited salvation in Jesus Christ.

The ministering angels of God receive the faith-filled, Bible-based words of the Believer as direct commands of Holy God.

God's angels know that His written Word spoken is both His revealed Will and His command.

The Unfailing Law of Personal Faith

Do you believe what we have just studied together from the Word of God?

Are you ready to make personal application of these powerful principles which I refer to as The Unfailing Law of Personal Faith?

Say and pray the words below. They are based upon the principles we have learned in these past fifteen lessons.

The Most High God will respond as will your personal angels.

“Because I give, it is given unto me.  I am a money magnet because I understand why money comes.  Money comes to me so I can seek and save the lost, destroy the works of Satan in the Earth, get out of debt and be a testimony of increase to everyone the Father’s inviting into His Family.  Money comes to me from every direction.  My God meets all my need according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus.  The Lord is my Shepherd.  I shall not want.  Everything I put my hand to prospers.  Let the Lord be magnified Who has pleasure in my prosperity.  Angels of God, I commission you to go forth now and do His pleasure in my life.  Fix my finances.  Cause my finances to come in, in Jesus’ Name.”

Do not tell the angels to "bring" money to you.  Nowhere in the Bible do they do that.  Tell the angels to "cause the finances to come" and they will cause your circumstances to be such that the money will come in from expected and unexpected sources.

As you continue to speak the above words of faith, the very angels who have been waiting for you to finally give voice to God’s Word will do as you instruct in ways that you could not possibly imagine.

Do not try to figure out how this works with your head.

I explained earlier on in these lessons on Biblical prosperity that our job is not to analyze these principles.  Our job is to utilize these principles.

The angels of God are here to serve us.  They are fellow servants who bring deliverance in every way, including financial deliverance.

Never again gripe and complain, “I always come up short no matter how hard I try.”

Your angels will just have to stand there wondering why you are not getting the message and causing yourself to come up short every time.

Continue to speak God’s Word and His will and you will come up on the long side of things, with plenty to seek and save the lost, plenty to destroy the works of Satan and plenty to live the debt-free life for which Jesus spilled His precious Blood.
