God's
Not Blocking Your Dreams
He Wants to
Wildly Bless You
by John Hamel
“Now to Him Who is able to do
superabundantly, far over and above all that we dare ask or think … infinitely
beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes
or dreams.” (Ephesians 3:20, Amplified Bible)
What you just read is a verse of
Scripture which many people do not even realize is in the Bible. This verse is a promise from Almighty God. It’s His promise to do superabundantly
above anything you might dare ask of Him or even think of asking. It’s His promise to answer your biggest
prayers, greatest desires, noblest thoughts, highest hopes and wildest
dreams.
I don’t know about you, but
this sounds like the God I’ve come to learn of and love by reading my Bible
for over 25 years now.
My God, the God of the Bible, is a good God. He is benevolent, not malevolent.
Benevolent means “good.” Malevolent means “bad.”
The Bible reveals that God is benevolent
and Satan is malevolent. Satan wants
to harm you beyond anything you could imagine. God wants to help you beyond your wildest
dreams.
Here’s what Jesus said about
Satan in the Bible. “The thief is
only there to steal and to kill and to destroy. I came so they [you] can have real and
Eternal life, more and better life than they [you] ever dreamed of.” (John
10:10, Message Bible)
Jesus said Satan is the thief, not God.
Satan steals hope, kills desires and destroys dreams, not God. It does not matter how your religion,
denomination or group may have taught you otherwise. The Bible is the only source of Truth. The Bible reveals God sent Jesus into the world to teach us
about His goodness. The Bible
reveals God sent Jesus to tell us of His desire to respond to our highest
prayers, greatest desires, noblest thoughts, highest hopes and wildest
dreams.
Many people wrongly believe that
God is their dream-killer when the Bible teaches that He is their dream-fulfiller. (Philippians 2:13) Others wrongly believe that God will help
them but only to a limited extent.
Both opinions are wrong. Both
opinions fall far short of what you just read straight out of the Holy
Bible. Anyone who intends on
receiving help from God needs to make up their mind once and for all that
what is written in the Bible is going to be their only standard of
measure.
Frequently people come to me with
their problems. I say, “Let’s pray
and ask the God of Love to help you.” All too often they reply, “Oh, no, Pastor
John, He’s done enough for me already.”
I say, “Enough already? You
haven’t put a dent in all God desires to do for you.” Then I quote Ephesians 3:20 to them, just
like it’s written above. Then I
encourage them to take the limits off the good God, the God of Creation,
and stop trying to figure Him out through the small channel of human
reasoning.
“Let God be God,” I encourage
them. “The Bible says He wants to
bless you beyond your wildest dreams.
The Bible is our only standard of measure. So, get that little pea-brain of yours
out of His way. It’s blocking the
spout where the fulfillment of your dreams comes out.”
The Bible calls God “the Father of Mercies and the God of all Comfort.”
(2Corinthians 1:3) He wants to have
mercy on you today. He wants to
comfort you today beyond anything you can imagine. He wants to heal you if you’re sick. He wants to answer your prayers for a
loved one. He wants to help you if
you’re lonely and desire a friend or even a marriage partner. He wants to prosper you if you’re sick
financially or in any other area.
Everybody’s
sick in one area or another and needs help.
He wants to bless you far more than you could ever want to be
blessed.
So, say “No” to the religious lie
that whispers in your ear, “He’s done enough for you already. Just accept
this burden as a cross He wants you to bear.” God’s not the burden-giver. He’s the
burden-lifter and He’s not punishing you.
Say “Yes” to the Bible Truth that shouts,
“He wants to help you beyond your highest hopes and wildest imaginations. So take the limits off of Him and believe
the Bible. It’s the only standard of
measure when it comes to what God has agreed to do.”
We always tell folks, “Get your
hopes jacked up as high as they’ll go and keep them there. Keep expecting Him to
bless you beyond your wildest dreams. He’ll jump over a thousand others just to
get to you because He’s a God of faith. He’s drawn to faith like a moth to a
flame.” (Hebrews 11:6)
If Jesus, the Prophet, is not yet
your Lord and Savior, say, “Jesus, You’re my choice.”
(Romans 10:13)
That puts you in the family and qualifies
you for God’s wildest blessings.
