Cut It Out!
Here’s How It Works

“A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you …” (Ezekiel 36:26-27)

In the above verse of Scripture the word “heart” is used figuratively.  It means that God wants to remove your old, evil “desires, motives and affections.”  

He wants to replace them with desires, motives and affections that will not only Glorify Him but will bring you into a place of great provision and protection! 

How He is able to do something so supernatural is also contained in the above verses of Scripture.  He said, “I’ll place a new spirit within you.”  That’s the key.

Here’s how it works.  

Man was created in God’s image. (Genesis 1:26)  God is a Spirit Being. (John 4:24)  This means that man is a spirit being as well.  Man is not a “body.”  Your body is simply your “earth-suit.”  You need it to live here.  Something happens to that earth-suit and your spirit is released and goes off into another realm. 

So keep in mind that man IS a spirit.  He HAS a soul, comprised of a mind, will, intellect and emotions, and he LIVES in a body.  Got it?

God created man, Adam, and “womb-man,” Eve, placing them in the center of His creation as guardians and keepers.  He told them, in essence, “Obey Me and you’ll always be powerful like Me.  Disobey Me and you’ll lose your power.  You’ll also disconnect from Me.  This will result in you connecting with Lucifer, the evil one and taking on his nature.” (Genesis 2)

To make a very long story short, Adam and Eve disobeyed.  They lost their world dominion and ceased to be good, like God. 

God’s Justice now said, “That sin’s got to be punished.”  God’s Mercy said, “That sin’s got to be forgiven.”  God’s Love said, “The punishment for their sin is death and I don’t want to lose them.  I’m Divine.  I have power over death.  I’ll become a man and pay fallen man’s penalty.  Once it’s paid, I’ll rise again and we can be re-united.”  Of course, God did this through His Son, Jesus Christ!

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (2Corinthians 5:21)

Now, all one needs to do to be restored to God is to accept Jesus’ sacrifice on their behalf.  When an individual does this, they actually become a brand new spirit, on the inside -- a spirit that never existed before.  A spirit with all new and Holy desires, motives and affections.  Ones that Glorify God and qualify for great blessing and reward.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2Corinthians 5:17)

The “New Creation” comes into existence the moment one says, “Jesus, You’re my choice.” (Romans 10:13)  It’s at that same moment that God Himself places “a new spirit” within you.  It’s supernatural Holy Spirit surgery!

Have you been living in union with Satan, following evil desires, motives and affections? (Ephesians 2:1-3)  CUT IT OUT! 

Cut out that old spirit and its wrong desires by saying, “Jesus, I see it.  I need a new spirit.  I want to be rid of my old nature.  I want to cut it out and live under Your blessings!” (Deuteronomy 28:1-14)
