3
Universal Powers
2 Dimensions.
1 Decision. 0 Neutrality.
by
Pastor John Hamel
“I call Heaven and Earth to record
this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing
and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou
and thy seed may live.” (Deuteronomy 30:19)
There are only 3 Powers in the
Universe.
First, there is the Power of God.
God is a Benevolent, or a good power.
The Bible
says, “The Lord is good to all and His tender mercies are over all His
works.” (Psalm 145:9) Because God made you, you are His “workmanship” and
He desires to have mercy on you. (Ephesians 2:10)
God unfairly gets the “heat” for all
that goes wrong in the world because most of the world has been religiously
brainwashed concerning Him. Regardless, God is not responsible for all the
evil in the world.
The Bible says that Satan is the
“god of this world” (small “g”) until Jesus returns to whip up on him for
all the harm he has brought to humanity. (2Corinthians 4:4; Revelation
10:1-15)
This brings us to the second
Universal Power. Satan.
Satan
is a
Malevolent, or an evil power.
The Bible says he has great wrath upon
humanity because he knows he’s going to suffer eternally, and soon, for the
destruction he has caused on Planet Earth for centuries. (Revelation 12:12)
Satan is absolutely “nuts,” so to
speak, and there is nothing he wouldn’t do to God’s human creation to break
His heart. He can’t get directly to God so he goes after His creation with
a vengeance.
Third, there is the Power of Man.
Man has a God-given “free-will” that, in essence, makes him or her a neutral
power.
Man
has the God-given option of choosing submission to either God's benevolent
power or Satan's malevolent power.
When man submits to God through
Jesus, he takes on the good nature of God.
"Therefore
if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new... For He hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin
for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in
Him." (2Corinthians 5:17,21)
When man
submits to Satan simply by rejecting Jesus, he maintains the evil nature of
Satan.
"Wherein
in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to
the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the
children of disobedience. Among whom also we all had our conversation in
times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh
and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as
others." (Ephesians
2:2-3)
Whichever one of the other two Universal Powers man
chooses to submit to will automatically determine which of the Two
Dimensions he or she will exist in.
I’ll explain.
First There Is the Dimension of Blessing
This is the dimension presently occupied by all
who choose to obey Creator God by submitting to the
teachings of the Bible and the Lordship of Jesus.
"Whosoever
cometh to Me, and heareth My sayings, and doeth them, I will show you to
whom he is like: he is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and
laid the foundation on a rock; and when the flood arose the stream beat
vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon
a rock." (Luke 6:47-48)
Jesus
promised physical, material and financial blessing for all who build upon
His Lordship and the rock of His Word.
For a good “nutshell” of
all the wonderful blessings this includes, read Deuteronomy 28:1-14. You
will absolutely like what you read.
Second There Is the Dimension of Curses
This is the dimension presently
occupied by all who reject the Lordship of Jesus.
"But
he that heareth, and doeth not is like a man that without a foundation built
an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and
immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great." (Luke 6:49)
By rejecting the Word of God and the
Lordship of Jesus Christ, one automatically falls under the rule and oppression of Satan. Why?
Because there are only 3 Universal Powers – God, Satan and Man. There is no
neutral ground. When man rejects
God’s Peacemaker, Jesus, he automatically
connects to the wrong power source. Plain and simple.
"Therefore
being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus
Christ." (Romans 5:1)
There
is only one way to have peace with God and that is to connect with Him by
accepting, not rejecting, Jesus the Peacemaker.
"Jesus
said, I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father
but by Me." (John 14:6)
Someone said, "I believe there
are other ways to God besides Jesus. But I do believe Jesus is one way
to God." I said, "Then you believe Jesus is a liar
or a lunatic because He said in the Bible, 'I am the only way to
God.'"
I
have had many Muslims tell me, "I believe Jesus is a good Teacher,
a good Prophet and a
good man. However, I do not believe He is the only way to God." I
tell them all the same thing, "Then you believe that good Prophets,
good Teachers and good men can also be liars, because Jesus said He was the
only way to God."
Jesus
Christ is the only way to God and He is the only way through which one can
enter into the Dimension of Blessing. This is why He referred to Himself as
"The Door."
"Then
said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily I say unto you, I am the door of
the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers ... I am the
door: by Me if any man enter in he shall be saved ..." (John 10:7-9)
There
is only one Door leading into the
Dimension of Blessing. His name is Jesus.
Someone said, “Well that’s archaic
and I just don’t believe it.”
You don’t have to believe it for it to be
true. God doesn’t need your faith, approval or permission to keep the Laws
of Blessing and Cursing which He slung into motion
up and running.
Because Almighty God created all that is in existence, including
you, He gets to make the rules.
The Rule Book says if you’re not
submitting to Jesus, you’re submitting to Satan.
"He
that is not with Me is against Me; and he that gathereth not with Me
scattereth abroad." (Matthew 12:30)
Refusing
to submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ automatically places you in the Dimension of
Curses, whether you believe it or not.
If you reject Him, one day you will
stand before Him in judgment
and you will say, "Well I'll be damned.
That little study on 3 Universal Powers was true."
It will be too late to save you from
the suffering of Hell, but you will say it
regardless.
For a good “nutshell”
of all the curses Satan’s rebellious
adherents live under, see Deuteronomy 28:15-68.
You will absolutely dislike everything you read.
Reader,
You Now Have a Decision to Make
Will it
be God or Satan?
Good
or Evil?
Blessings or Curses?
If you foolishly choose Satan and his curses, say
nothing! You’ll simply remain right where you are in the Dimension of
Curses.
That's for eternity.
Jesus
said, "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that
believeth not shall be damned." (Mark 16:16)
If you wisely choose God and His
Blessings, simply say,
“Jesus, You’re my choice.”
"For
everyone who calls upon the Name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be
saved." (Romans 10:13 AMP)
You will be automatically thrust into
the Dimension of Blessings.
That’s for eternity, too.
"God
rescued us from dead-end alleys and dark dungeons. He's set us up in the
Kingdom of the Son He loves so much, the Son Who got us out of the pit we
were in and got rid of the sins we were doomed to keep repeating."
(Colossians 1:13 MSG)
