Satan
Thrives on It

“An evil man seeks
only rebellion: Therefore a cruel messenger shall be sent against him.”
(Proverbs 17:11)
Rebellion is Satan’s idea. It was birthed in
his heart when he decided he knew more than the God Who created him.
His name was “Lucifer” then and he was an Archangel in Heaven. Rebellion got him thrown right out of Heaven
and it will keep you out as well.
“How art thou
fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!
how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst
weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine
heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of
God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of
the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be
like the most High.” (Isaiah 14:12-14)
Nothing good ever
comes from rebellion. It opens the door to cursing, not
blessing. There are, after all, only two dimensions in which humans
can live. There is the Dimension of Blessing, which operates through obedience to God and His Word. (Deuteronomy
28:1-14) There is the Dimension of Curses, which operates through
disobedience to God. (Deuteronomy 28:15-68) Plain and simple.
Believe it or not.
As a matter of
fact, you don’t even have to believe it for it to be true. God slung the Laws of Blessing and Cursing into operation and He
doesn’t need our agreement to keep them up and running.
Rebellion is the
spirit of Satan. Obedience is the Spirit of Christ. When the
Anti-Christ steps forth to control the world for a period of seven long,
punishing years, he will thrive on the spirit of rebellion presently in the
world and in the Church. The Bible calls him “the man of sin”
and the “son of perdition.” He’ll be as rebellious as they
come.
“Let no man deceive
you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling
away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.”
(2Thessalonians 2:3)
This is a
description of a lawless individual, one who lives outside of the
law. He will absolutely defy all that is legal, moral and
Scriptural. The world is preparing for his arrival now. More
and more individuals are adopting the attitudes of “There is no right and
wrong!” and “There are no absolutes!”
Secular Humanism
and New Age “faith” tolerate absolutely anything but Jesus
Christ. As long as it’s anti-Jesus,
anti-Bible, anti-Christianity and anti-Semitic, it’s A-okay with
them. As long as there is no morality based on God’s Word, their
attitude is “Bring it on!”
Little do they
realize that seeking “power” through rebellion against God’s Word is the
very thing that strips them of power. The very power they are seeking is found only in the
One they despise.
“And
Jesus came … saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”
(Matthew 18:18)
The only way to
have real Power and to live in the Dimension of Blessing is to get under
God’s authority. You do this by simply saying, “Jesus, I submit to
You as my Master and Savior.” (Romans 10:13)
This ties you into the
real Power Source, Almighty God, through the New Birth.
This closes the door to the Dimension of Curses and
opens the door to the Dimension of Blessing.
That includes health (1Peter 2:24), prosperity (Philippians 4:19) and success (Psalm
1:3).
REBELLION.
SATAN THRIVES ON IT.
He wants humanity to choose
rebellion so he can ride
them like a parasite and suck the life right out of them.
He knows
it’s the only way to get back at God for throwing him out of Paradise. He can’t
get directly to God so he goes after the thing that is most precious to God
– His human creation – you and me.
He
does it with rebellion.
