Experiencing
the Glory of God 7
You’ll Find Material Prosperity in
the Glory
by Pastor John Hamel
“For thus saith the Lord of hosts;
Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the
earth, and the sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I
will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord
of hosts. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts. The glory of this latter
house shall be greater than of the former, saith
the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith
the Lord of hosts.” (Haggai 2:6-9)
Here God prophesies a Last Day’s outpouring of His Glory that
will be greater than any other outpouring of His Glory at any other time in
all of human history. We are at the beginning of
that outpouring.
I find it very interesting that in this very same passage of
Scripture, Almighty God informs us that all the gold and silver in the world
belongs to Him. Is God changing the subject from His Glory to His
money? Absolutely not. Almighty God is telling us that He
understands better than we do that when His Glory is being poured out, it
is going to take a lot of cash to further His cause in the Earth.
There is not only health and healing in the Glory, there is not only
guidance, revelation, revival, signs, wonders, promotion, world harvest and
joy in the Glory, but there is also financial blessing that will be poured
into the Body of Christ. Financial blessing that the Body of Christ
has never before seen!
Great
Wealth Always Follows the Glory
Israel prospered greatly
under King David because, although he was not perfect, David allowed the
Glory of God to manifest under his leadership. Just before he died,
he gathered together over 5 billion dollars in gold and silver alone,
excluding brass, iron and other materials that could not be measured.
This was all for the building of God's Temple. That money was
made available by God to David because Israel welcomed God’s
Glory. (1 Chronicles 22:14-16) David
personally gave out of his own pocket well over 100 million dollars, by
today’s standards, for the Temple building project.
David's son, Solomon, inherited David's wealth and oversaw the
actual building of the Temple at a cost of well
over 100 billion dollars by today’s standards.
The Nation of Ophir gave Solomon a
gift of over 20 million dollars. (1 Kings 9:14) The Queen
of Sheba and the King of Tyre each gave him over
4 million dollars at one time. (1 Kings 9:28; 10:10) One year gifts came in totaling
over 20 million in gold alone from the nations all around him. (2
Chronicles 9:13-28) Why did this happen for Solomon? This happened
because Solomon allowed the Glory to flow through him personally and
nationally under his reign. The wealth just kept pouring in.
Unfortunately Solomon got all messed up with a bunch of heathen women,
blocking the spout where the Glory came out. Once the Glory was
blocked, so was the wealth. If we will learn from Solomon’s mistakes,
we can have the Glory and the wealth without the blockage.
There is an ample supply of all we need if we'll just worship
God and get into the River of
Glory. The River
is in the Earth now. We are not waiting for it to come. It is in the
Earth and we are to simply step into it. It is so easy to get into
the Glory. Just begin to worship Him in your heart and the Glory
comes to meet your needs. There will be outstanding financial miracles for
anyone who gets into the Glory.
It is the will of God to
prosper those who worship Him. God is the wealthiest person in the
Universe and He's our Father. Do you think Bill Gates tells his
family, “No, absolutely no!” when they come to him for financial help? You
can be sure Bill Gates helps his family abundantly. Let the
River of
Glory flow through you
as you worship God and it will bring increase to your finances. Your
Father God wants to get you out of debt so you can help finance the End Time Harvest.
Jesus is the Mediator of a Covenant better than King David and
King Solomon had. (Hebrews 8:6) Worship Him. He’ll bless you
with the Glory.
King
Hezekiah Saw Wealth Because of the Glory
Hezekiah was a good King who took over in Israel after wicked King
Ahab. He tore down the altars of Baal and restored the Passover and
all of Israel's feasts and festivals.
He welcomed God's Glory and the wealth began to pour in.
“And as soon as the commandment came abroad, the children of Israel brought in
abundance the firstfruits of corn, wine, and oil,
and honey, and of all the increase of the field; and the tithe of all
things brought they in abundantly. And concerning the children of
Israel and Judah, that dwelt in the cities of Judah, they also brought in
the tithe of oxen and sheep, and the tithe of holy things which were
consecrated unto the Lord their God, and laid them by heaps. In the
third month they began to lay the foundation of the heaps, and finished
them in the seventh month. [It took 5 months to take the offering.]
And when Hezekiah and the princes came and saw the heaps, they blessed the
Lord, and his people Israel.” (2 Chronicles
31:5-8)
Hezekiah opened the doors to the Glory of God in Israel. Someone
took up an offering and the people did not stop giving for five
months. Did you get that? Some people complain when Church
lasts for two hours. There will be no complaining when the offerings
last for five months. Hezekiah had to build special storage places
just to house the offering. In Hezekiah’s day, God did not want His people
to owe the world anything. The Bible says that God never changes.
(Malachi 2:6; Hebrews 13:8) God wants His people out of debt today as
well. It will happen when His people get into the Glory.
Don't roll your credit card debt over into a home equity
loan. Get into the Glory and that debt will be eliminated. It
is so easy. It is finally here. Worship God in your heart as
you sit there and it will come as will financial miracles. He wants
to free you so you can get in on the Revival that is breaking out. He
wants to help you to bless your family financially so they'll listen when
you speak to them of His Goodness. There are financial miracles waiting for
you in the River of
Glory. Get in the
River by worshipping God.
If you will make the decision to be fiscally responsible and unleash expectation for the Glory to
manifest, God will not disappoint you. It is here. It is not
coming!
Supernatural Prosperity Is for the Church Today
Look what happened at Pentecost when the Glory was poured out
as Peter preached the Gospel.
“Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the
same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And
they continued stedfastly in the apostles'
doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the
apostles. And all that believed were together, and had all things
common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men,
as every man had need. And they, continuing daily with one accord in
the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with
gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the
church daily such as should be saved.” (Acts 2:41-47)
This is not Scriptural precedent for living like a bunch of
hippies. No offense, I used to be a hippie. This is a Biblical
example of what happens when people step into the Glory. People start
blessing people just like Jesus promised in Luke 6:38. Debts are
supernaturally forgiven. Automobiles, trucks, coaches, airplanes, tents,
real estate and anything else you can think of start changing hands. Material
things come into your possession supernaturally. Bank accounts start overflowing and you're
free to do the will of God no matter what He’s telling you to do.
Get into the River of
Glory. Remember, it's up to you, not just God. When
you go the lake or to the beach, does the water come to you?
No. The water pretty much stays in place. You must make the
decision to go and get into the water. Make the decision to go and
get into the Glory. It’s a decision. It’s a decision. Too
many Christians hate that word “decision.” They call it the
"D" word. It's like cussing to the lazy ones who want God
to pick them up and place them in the River. It's time to grow and
it’s time to flow. Credit card companies encourage debt. God encourages getting out of debt by
getting into the Glory. The Glory cancels debt.
Another
New Testament Example
“And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection
of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. Neither was
there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands
or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto
every man according as he had need.” (Acts 4:33-35)
People, wealth starts changing hands when we get into the
Glory. It is easy, it is not hard! I don't know what brings you
to the River, but I do know that your need will be met if you'll go in head
first. Head first is always the best way to go into the River.
Would you like to know why that is? It’s because it’s our heads
that always try to tell us what we cannot have. It's always our heads
that tell us, “It's not for you.” “It's not for today.” “It's
not for the weak.” “It's not for those with dark backgrounds.”
“It's not for you because you know that God can't trust you with that kind
of money.” Etc. Etc. Etc.
Well, why don't you just make the decision that God can trust
you from this day forward and He will honor that decision.
Did I just use the "D" word again? I apologize if my
language offends you. But you are going to have to make a decision to
dive into the River of
Glory head first if you
want God to help you the way He promises to help you. Worship
God. Worship Him from a pure heart. That is how you dive in
head first.
God wants His family to be able take a few days off and travel
to revivals, crusades, camp meetings and anywhere else where He is in
manifestation. That takes economic stability. Economic
stability is in the River. Let’s get in the River. Let's
cooperate with the Glory. He will give power to obtain economic stability.
“But thou shalt remember the Lord thy
God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”
(Deuteronomy 8:18)
“I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall
find me. Riches and honour are with me; yea,
durable riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yea,
than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. I lead
in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: That I
may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their
treasures.” (Proverbs 8:17-21)
“Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and
hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to
rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.”
(Ecclesiastes 5:19)
God wants us to inherit substance. Substance is an
expression of wealth. He wants to fill our treasures, giving us
wealth and riches but we must step into the Glory where wealth and riches
are being distributed. It is easy. Just begin to worship Him
throughout the day. The Glory is filling the Earth. The Glory
is not coming. That's the message God has put on my heart for His
people. The River is flowing. Now we must simply step into it
through worship.
David, Solomon, Hezekiah, all of Israel, as well as the
Early Church saw tremendous wealth and riches when they welcomed the Glory
and worshipped God. We will see it more as we worship God more.
“The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith
the Lord of hosts. The glory of this latter house shall be greater
than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and
in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord
of hosts.” (Haggai 2:8-9)
The silver and gold in the world belongs to God. It
belongs to Jesus. It belongs to you because you are a joint-heir with
Jesus. To be a joint-heir means to be a participant in common.
It does not mean to split something right down the middle, fifty/fifty.
To be a participant in common means that everything is owned jointly by
more than one individual. It’s all His. It’s all ours for the
propagation of the Gospel first and the meeting of our needs second.
Pay your tithes and offerings. Get in the Glory and watch
it manifest.
