Absolute
Master of Loosing Power
Need to Be
Free? Jesus is the Man for the Job
by Pastor John Hamel
Let’s look at a couple verses of Scripture together. Then
I’ll have something to share with you that I think you’re really going to
like. Particularly if you’ve been all tied up in a mess of addiction,
bondage, terminal disease, or any other so-called “hopeless”
situation.
“For
he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the
Lord behold the earth; To hear the groaning of the prisoner; TO LOOSE THOSE
THAT ARE APPOINTED TO DEATH;” (Psalm 102:19,20)
“O
Lord, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: THOU HAST LOOSED MY BONDS.” (Psalm
116:16)
“Happy
is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord
his God: Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein
is: which keepeth truth for ever: Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. THE LORD LOOSETH THE
PRISONERS:” (Psalm 146:5-7)
We
see from our text Scriptures that God is a loosing God. He promises
to loose those who are appointed to premature death, those who are in
bondage of any type and all who are being held captive by Satan as prisoners against their will.
This is why
we never take lightly addressing any number of people, whether it is two
individuals in someone’s living room or two million by television, radio
and Internet. We never know who is listening as a last resort.
Many
have "incurable" diseases such as aids and cancers. Many
Satan has appointed to premature death. Many are considering ending
their own lives, but Jesus wants to loose you today from every bondage.
Maybe
everyone in the world has given up on you, but man’s word is never the
final word. The Word of the Most High God is the final word.
Let’s go back to the Bible.
Shadrach,
Meshach & Abednego
All
three of these young Hebrew men refused to bow down to the golden image of King Nebuchadnezzar’s. They refused to bow, bend or budge. Nebuchadnezzar had them bound and cast into a fire so hot, the men who
threw them in were instantly killed by the heat. Nebuchadnezzar
approached the oven himself to make sure the three Hebrews were getting
what he believed they deserved. Here’s what he discovered.
“Then
Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up
in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the
midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O
king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men LOOSE, walking in the
midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is
like the Son of God. Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of
the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said,
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, ye servants of
the most high God, come forth, and come hither.
"Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, came forth
of the midst of the fire. And the princes, governors, and captains,
and the king's counsellors, being gathered
together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats
changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them. Then
Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the
God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who hath
sent his angel, and DELIVERED his servants that trusted in him, and have
changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not
serve nor worship any god, except their own God.” (Daniel 3:24-28)
This
is neither a parable nor a cute little Sunday School story. This is
the living Word of the Living God Who looses His
creation from every bondage and premature death.
You may
be in the fire of sickness, persecution, lack,
oppression or heartache.
Jesus wants to loose you from that fire. Jesus wants to change the
doctor’s word, the judge’s word, the lawyer’s word, your mate’s word and
loose you from that fiery torment.
Jesus said when the whole world
begins to cave in all around you, look up, for
your redemption is at hand.
A
Woman Bound by a Spirit for 18 Years
“And
he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.
And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit
of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise
lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and
said unto her, Woman, thou art LOOSED from thine
infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made
straight, and glorified God. … And ought not this woman, being a
daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be LOOSED from this bond on the sabbath
day?” (Luke 13:10-13,16)
It
does not get any clearer than this. Satan is the one who binds.
Jesus is the One who looses from Satan’s bondage.
This woman was bound with a spirit of infirmity
for nearly two decades. Every time she turned around she was sick
with something else.
Just like some of you today. The doctors
simply cannot figure out what is wrong with you. Just when they get
one thing figured out, something else pops up. They get that figured
out, lo and behold, you come down with something else. That is a
spirit of infirmity.
Jesus, the Master of loosing powers, is the only
One Who can set you free from a spirit of infirmity.
Maybe
you have been Born Again but you just cannot seem to stop
sinning. You seemed to be going along just fine, attending Church and
reading your Bible. The next thing you knew, Satan tempted you with
the very thing he held you with before you were saved. You
have fallen again and you feel like a jackass. A dumb
mule. A complete donkey. Well, I have good news for you, Jack.
Jesus
Looses Donkeys, Too
Jesus
was preparing for His triumphant entry into the city of Jerusalem prior to His
crucifixion. He gave the following instructions to His Disciples.
“And
it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage
and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his
disciples, Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the
which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man
sat: LOOSE him, and bring him hither. And if any man
ask you, Why do ye LOOSE him? thus shall ye
say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.” (Luke 19:29-31)
According
to the Law of Moses the firstborn donkey colt to come from its mother’s
womb was to have its neck broken unless a sacrificial lamb was offered to
spare him. (Exodus 13:2,13)
This donkey Jesus was calling for was
only alive that day because his master had redeemed him with the blood of a
lamb. So here we have a donkey that was redeemed by the blood of a
lamb but he was tied to a post. Jesus called for him to be loosed for
His personal use.
Does
that sound familiar to you? A donkey redeemed by the blood of a lamb,
yet still tied to a post? It sounds to me like a lot of Believers
today. They have been redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb, Jesus, but
they are still tied to a post of sin. They are redeemed but they are
bound. They simply need to be
loosed.
Jesus can get that job done. He is the
Master of loosing power.
Some
of you today are Born Again and filled with the Spirit of
God but you are tied to a post of lying, adultery, pornography, soap operas,
sickness, rebellion,
pride, worry, comparison, etc.
Jesus said, “You need to be
loosed.” He wants to help you, too.
He
told His disciples, “If anybody says anything to you, just tell them the
Master has need of him.”
You need to be loosed today because the
Master has need of you to carry the Gospel to your city, your state and
some of you, to the nations of the world. But first you need to be
released from demonic harassment, alcohol, tobacco, Oprah, Jerry, MTV,
CMTV, immorality and other bondages.
God is not angry.
He loves you. He wants you loosed from that post. Never say,
“It’s too late.” It is never too late.
It
Was Not Too Late for Lazarus, Was It?
Lazarus
was dead for four days. When Jesus went to roll away the gravestone,
Martha said, “Jesus, don’t do that. It’s too late. He already
stinks.” Jesus is not moved by the stench of death or sin.
Many
folks do not want Jesus to roll the stone away from the secret areas of
their lives because it stinks back there. Well, Jesus can handle the
stink. He just wants you to be free. You can be loosed.
Lazarus was dead and he was loosed.
Look what Jesus did with this
stinking mess of death and sin.
“And
when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come
forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a
napkin. Jesus saith unto them, LOOSE HIM, and let
him go.” (John 11:43,44)
Jesus
loosed Lazarus so he could continue the work God had for him to do.
He loosed him so he could tell the entire world what God had done for him.
Jesus wants to loose you so you can tell the world what God has done for
you, He will do for them.
Let me give you one more example of
prisoners being loosed.
Paul
& Silas Were Loosed from Their Bondage
Paul
and Silas were thrown in prison for casting a demon spirit out of a woman fortune-teller.
Her masters lied about what they had done and had them illegally and unjustly arrested.
“And
when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison,
charging the jailer to keep them safely: Who, having received such a
charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the
stocks. And at midnight Paul and Silas
prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And
suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the
prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and EVERY
ONE'S BANDS WERE LOOSED.” (Acts 16:23-26)
Paul
and Silas began to sing and praise God in the
midst of their bondage. God sent a constructive earthquake
and everyone was set free simply for being Paul and Silas’ prison guests
that night.
You
may be bound today. Maybe Satan has beaten you, taken over your home
and put you in emotional, spiritual and financial stocks.
God wants
to send a quaking that will loose you and your family from torment.
What
do you need to be loosed from? Pregnancy complications? Poverty, accidents, sleeplessness, worry, addictions, fear, suicide,
voices, condemnation, lust, lying, gossip, tumors, compromise,
faultfinding, criticism?
Listen.
Being loosed from any of these things is not the greatest of
miracles. There is a greater miracle.
The greatest miracle of
all is to be loosed from the kingdom of darkness and to be translated into the Kingdom of the Son of God’s love.
(Colossians 1:12,13)
Salvation
is the greatest miracle of all.
All other healing and deliverance
miracles are contained in the miracle of salvation. The lesser is
always contained in the greater.
This is true in Mathematics and
Science. This is true in the Spirit realm as well.
Why
don’t you call upon Jesus, the Master of loosing power?
Just say,
“Jesus, You’re my choice. I choose You and I
ask You to loose me from this bondage.” (Romans 10:13)
He
will do
exactly as you ask. He will set you free and empower you for service to Him.
Be Blessed … John and Barbara
